Job Title: Clerical Officer – Procurement Section
Salary: €31,078
Location: Tallaght Area
Contract: 35 hours a week
About the Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Clerical Officer to provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the Procurement Section, ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the department. Duties may vary depending on the changing needs of the organisation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform duties appropriate to the grade under the supervision of the designated Line Manager.
- Support the development and maintenance of administrative systems to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Process all departmental paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Notify the Line Manager of any backlogs, issues, or operational challenges as they arise.
- Liaise with the public and colleagues through face-to-face, telephone, written, and electronic communication.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings.
- Contribute to project teams focused on service improvement initiatives.
- Undertake any other duties relevant to the role and grade as assigned.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Knowledge and/or experience of EU and National Procurement Rules and tendering processes.
- Minimum of five subjects at Grade D3 or higher in the Leaving Certificate Examination, or an equivalent qualification (QQI Level 4/5).
- Relevant clerical and/or administrative experience.
- Excellent IT skills, with strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Professional and courteous telephone manner.
