Job Description:

We are seeking dedicated and flexible Catering Assistants to join our team in a hospital setting in Dublin South and Center. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring patients and staff receive high-quality catering services. This casual/agency position offers flexible hours to accommodate a work-life balance and includes weekend and holiday pay. No prior experience is necessary, but it is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in meal preparation and presentation, ensuring that high standards of hygiene and food safety are maintained.
  • Serve meals to patients, staff, and visitors with care and courtesy.
  • Maintain cleanliness in food service areas, including the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Dishwashing and equipment cleaning as required.
  • Assist in restocking food supplies, condiments, and utensils.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing the needs and preferences of patients, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • No prior experience required, although experience in a similar role is an advantage.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to a hospital environment.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • A positive and professional attitude.
