We are looking for a experienced catering assistant to work on a temporary/relief basis through our agency, in New Ross, co.Wexford.
The ideal candidate will be a reliable individual, with the ability to work in on their own initiative in busy working environments. Solid experience in food preparation and/or deli, food service, and ability to operate a till are a must.
Hours’ availability may vary, but typically work is available between Monday to Friday with an early morning start. Part-time and Full-time options available.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy daytime, Monday-Friday work and are looking to have control over their own schedule through a flexible working arrangement.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the kitchen in busiest departments as needed such as food portioning, preparation and service ensuring high qualiyty food and adherance to food safety standards
  • Operate the till accurately and efficiently, while placing orders and processing card and cash transactions
  • Wash and clean dishes, utensils and cleaning kitchen equipment using professional equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment ensuring high hygiene standards
  • Manage and dispose waste correctly in line with food safety regulations
  • Ensure clear communication with the rest of the BOH team, to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Use and store cleaning equipment appropriately ensuring own and the teams safety at all times

Your profile

  • Previous experience in food service and food preparation
  • Experience in operating a till
  • Ability to commute to New Ross for shifts starting as early as 7am
  • Ability to work quickly in a busy environment
  • High hygiene and knowledge of food safety standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive attitude, flexibility with a can-do approach
