Role: Catering Area Manager

Location: Northern Ireland (Remote initially)

Role Type: Permanent/Full Time

Start Date: As soon as possible

Objective:

Noel Group is currently partnered with a leading Food Services firm to support and expand sales to catering customers and to introduce the company to new customers in such a way as to meet the company’s business aims.

Duties:

  • To regularly meet buyers and visit outlets in order to maximise profitable sales to current key catering customers.
  • To recruit, train, and develop the sales team so that they are consistently performing in accordance with standards.
  • To introduce client to new a/c in the catering sector.
  • To negotiate and manage pricing and promotions to customers in such a way as to grow sales and profitability to those customers.
  • To co ordinate projects with the sales team and with other departments
  • To manage the business in such a way as to maintain or grow motivation levels among the team and distributors teams.
  • To identify and assess promotion concepts and opportunities for agreement with distributors or buyers and to implement the agreed promotions.
  • To liaise with the administration office to ensure that all correspondence, filing and account queries are properly processed and that timely information is produced to monitor performance.
  • To liaise in a timely manner with NPD regarding new product launches and the development of new products and with quality control where product complaints arise.
  • To maintain good relations with existing and prospective customers and distributors and to constantly emphasise the company’s commitment to quality and service.
  • To maintain client’s values under “Growing Our Future” and help bring those values alive among the team.
  • To operate and develop SalesForce CRM system and the procedures related to it.
  • To liaise with the other members of the management team to develop strategies for the continuing profitable development of the company’s operations and to undertake other work as may be required from time to time.

Profile Required

Education:

The successful candidate is likely to have a third level qualification or achieved a similar standard in their career.

Experience:

Sales experience including sales at multiple group level, preferably in the food industry.

Personal Characteristics:

  • Conscientiousness about deadlines with a complete commitment to accuracy, honesty and integrity and confidentiality.
  • Organisational ability and adaptability to take responsibility for a wide range of tasks and an appreciation that quality is essential at all levels in the food industry.
