Barista Waterford (Temporary)

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Barista, with till experience, to work on a temporary/relief basis through our agency, in Waterford.
The ideal candidate will be a reliable individual, with the ability to work in on their own initiative in busy working environments. Solid experience in making quality coffes, HACCP knowledge and ability to operate a till are a must.
Hours’ availability may vary, but typically work is available between Monday to Friday with an early morning start. Part-time and Full-time options available.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and other beverages to company standards
• Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming, memorable experience for every guest
• Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation service counter, and seating areas
• Assist with restocking supplies and monitoring inventory levels proactively
• Operate the till and handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently
• Support food preparation and presentation as needed (e.g., sandwiches, pastries)
• Follow all hygiene, health, and food safety procedures at all times
• Work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure smooth and efficient service

Your Profile

• Must be living in Ireland, within a commutable distance from the Waterford area, and hold a valid work permit
• Previous barista experience is essential
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced environments
• Strong teamwork skills and a positive, can-do attitude
• Attention to detail and pride in presentation
• Food Safety and HACCP knowledge
• Passionate about coffee, catering, and customer service
• Flexibility and accountability
