Senior Bar Duty Manager
Location: Leixlip, Co. Kildare
Hours: Full-time, 5 days over 7 (including weekends and public holidays)
Salary: €40,000 – €42,000 per annum
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a busy 4-star hotel in Leixlip, for an experienced and dynamic Senior Bar Duty Manager to join their management team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional looking to take the next step in their career within a vibrant and well-established property.
The Role:
This is a full-time position, working an average of 45 hours per week across 5 days, including weekends and public holidays. The Senior Bar Duty Manager will play a key role in overseeing the hotel’s busy bar and beverage operations, ensuring the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel’s bar and beverage department (6 bars in total).

Manage and support a team of 30-40 staff, ensuring smooth service across all areas.

Take a hands-on approach, assisting in operations as required.

Work closely with the management team on all aspects of hotel operations.

Carry out Duty Management shifts, taking full responsibility for the property during these times.

Conduct weekly stocktakes and assist with inventory control.

Lead staff training, coaching, and performance development.

Drive sales initiatives in collaboration with the in-house sales team.

Maintain high standards of customer service and guest satisfaction.

Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and HACCP regulations.
Candidate Requirements:

Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar management role within a busy 3* or 4* hotel.

Strong knowledge of the bar and beverage industry, including current trends and innovations.

HACCP training is essential.

Experience with hotel front office systems desirable.

Previous experience in food & beverage, banqueting, or events operations.

Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Flexible availability, including early and late shifts.

Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

A current First Aid Certificate is desirable but not essential.
