Noel Group is looking for a hands-on Doughnut Bakery Manager who shares our clients passion and has the skills to lead their bakery to even greater success. As the bakery manager, you’ll not only manage the day-to-day operations of our bakery but also work directly on the floor, getting your hands into the dough. You will oversee a dedicated team, ensure the highest quality of our products, and maintain a smooth-running operation. Your expertise in kneading dough, working with yeast, and people management will be essential in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly in the bakery, kneading dough, working with yeast, and ensuring the quality of each batch of doughnuts.
- Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of bakers and staff, ensuring a productive and positive working environment.
- Oversee the entire doughnut-making process, from dough preparation to frying and glazing, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Schedule staff shifts, manage performance, and provide ongoing training to develop the team’s skills.
- Monitor ingredient levels, place orders, and manage inventory to minimize waste while ensuring the bakery is always well-stocked.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all food safety and health regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a bakery or similar role, with strong skills in kneading dough and working with yeast.
- Solid background in people management, with the ability to lead and develop a team.
- Passion for baking and a commitment to producing high-quality doughnuts.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
