Noel Group are seeking an Assistant Manager to join a well-established, tech-focused gaming company with a long history of success in the Irish market. This role is ideal for someone with a strong retail or hospitality management background, who is ready to take on the challenge of managing day-to-day operations in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the retail location, ensuring smooth and efficient performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring they have a positive experience with the products and services.
  • Manage accounts and cash flow, analysing financial figures and recommending actions to improve operations.
  • Control all costs within the agreed budget, while demonstrating commercial awareness.
  • Lead and develop a team of Supervisors and Customer Assistants, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor staff, ensuring the team is motivated and well-prepared for their roles.
  • Maintain high standards in all areas, from cleanliness to customer service, and ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Implement and manage promotional campaigns, providing feedback to the marketing team.
  • Communicate regularly with the Operations Director and other senior management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager, Store Manager, or in a similar role within retail or hospitality.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Proven commercial acumen and an understanding of the current operating environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in IT, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to quickly learn in-house systems.
  • Ability to manage challenging situations with professionalism and calm.
  • Experience in coaching and developing teams to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
