About the Role

Noel Group is currently recruiting an experienced Assistant General Manager for a well-established and highly popular casual dining restaurant in Cork City.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment. The successful candidate will support the General Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the venue while ensuring exceptional food quality, customer service, and team performance.

The role requires a hands-on leader who can motivate teams, maintain high operational standards, and help drive business performance in a busy restaurant known for its energetic atmosphere and quality food offering. The ideal candidate will have strong people management skills, commercial awareness, and a passion for hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in the daily running of the restaurant and overall operations.
  • Lead and supervise the front-of-house team during service to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Deliver and maintain exceptional customer service standards at all times.
  • Assist with staff scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards are consistently maintained.
  • Manage opening and closing procedures and act as Duty Manager when required.
  • Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and support cost control initiatives.
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve any issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure efficient service and high product quality.
  • Support the General Manager in achieving sales targets and operational KPIs.

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a busy restaurant or hospitality venue.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing high-volume service environments.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and hospitality operations.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Passion for hospitality, quality food, and delivering a great guest experience.
