The Noel Group are proud to be recruiting an experienced Area Business Development Manager on behalf of a well-established hospitality group with multiple properties in the Wexford region.
This role will play a key part in driving commercial growth and developing new revenue opportunities across a portfolio of hotel and accommodation offerings. The successful candidate will work closely with senior operational and commercial leadership to implement sales initiatives, grow corporate relationships, and increase market share across key segments.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional who thrives on building relationships and identifying new business opportunities within the hospitality sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement proactive sales strategies to support revenue growth across a group of hospitality properties.
- Identify and pursue new corporate, leisure, and group business opportunities within regional and national markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel partners, and event organisers.
- Represent the organisation at networking events, trade shows, and industry exhibitions.
- Conduct client meetings, site visits, and presentations to showcase the properties and services available.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer demand to identify opportunities for business development.
- Work collaboratively with the senior management and marketing teams to support promotional campaigns and brand visibility.
- Assist with digital presence and online performance by liaising with external website and marketing partners.
- Maintain an organised pipeline of prospective clients and regularly update CRM systems with relevant sales activity.
- Prepare regular sales performance updates and activity reports for the senior leadership team.
- Contribute to marketing initiatives including promotional materials, partnerships, and targeted outreach campaigns.
Requirements of a Business Development Manager
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a sales or business development role.
- Previous experience within hospitality, hotels, tourism, or events is advantageous.
- Proven ability to generate new business and manage client relationships.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with a wider team.
- Full clean driving licence and access to own transport.
