Job Title: Grade 7 – Administrative Officer
Location: Dublin
Salary: €59,417
Contract Type: Fixed-Term (12 months)
Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Grade 7 Administrative Officer to support key national committees and initiatives within the Housing and Planning sectors. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the implementation of national programmes and legislative priorities, coordinating sectoral responses, and ensuring effective administrative and analytical support across multiple working groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the CCMA Housing Committee in delivering the new National Housing Plan, including coordination of related activities and stakeholder engagement.
- Coordinate the sectoral response to emerging Government priorities and contribute to the delivery of national programmes.
- Prepare submissions and reports on a range of Planning and Housing topics for submission to State bodies such as the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage (DHLGH), the Office of the Planning Regulator (OPR), and the Joint Oireachtas Committee (JOC).
- Collect, analyse, and manage data to support the output and reporting requirements of the CCMA Housing Committee.
- Provide support to the CCMA Planning Committee in the implementation of the Planning and Development Act 2024, including monitoring progress and preparing related documentation.
- Coordinate secretariat support to the CCMA Planning, Building and Land Use Committee, managing a portfolio of approximately 50 subcommittees and working groups, ensuring effective communication, documentation, and governance across all.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar administrative, coordination, or policy support role within the public or local government sector.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and preparation of formal submissions.
- Strong analytical and data management capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and committees.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related digital collaboration tools.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of the Irish local government system, housing policy, and planning frameworks.
- Experience providing secretariat or governance support to committees or working groups.
