Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Company Overview
Our client is a well-established logistics and supply chain provider offering warehousing, freight forwarding, transportation, distribution, import/export services, and supply chain solutions throughout Ireland, the UK, Europe, and international markets.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Operative to join their busy warehouse operation.
The Role
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of a fast-paced warehouse environment.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working as part of a team while maintaining a high level of accuracy, safety, and productivity.
Overtime: Additional overtime is regularly available for candidates who wish to maximise their earning potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all incoming and outgoing goods match relevant delivery and shipping documentation.
- Assist with loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Store, organise, and rotate stock in accordance with company procedures.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
- Receive, inspect, and process inbound deliveries.
- Sort and store materials, products, and stock within designated warehouse locations.
- Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet trucks, and other material handling equipment where authorised.
- Carry out stock checks and assist with inventory control activities.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation.
- Process shipment and stock information through the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Complete general warehouse administration duties, including updating records, data entry, and responding to emails.
- Ensure accurate system updates for inbound and outbound stock movements.
- Ensure products are stored safely and remain in good condition.
- Package fragile goods appropriately to prevent damage during transit.
- Report stock discrepancies, damaged goods, or equipment faults to management.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
- Follow all company Health & Safety procedures and site regulations.
- Support general warehouse and operational duties as required.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ warehouse operative experience.
- Must hold a valid EU Counter-balance forklift licence. Other licences can be considered.
- Previous experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or similar stock management software.
- Good computer skills, including email and basic administrative tasks.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload within a busy warehouse operation.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety.
- Previous experience operating warehouse equipment would be advantageous.
