Job Title: Export Freight Co-Ordinator

Salary: €35,000 – €40,000 DOE

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Export Freight Co-Ordinator to join a busy logistics operation based in Cork.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating export shipments, managing customer enquiries, preparing export documentation, and ensuring the smooth movement of goods through the supply chain.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Enter shipment information accurately onto internal systems.
  • Arrange collections and prepare shipments for export processing.
  • Communicate with customers regarding bookings, shipment updates, and operational queries.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their shipping requirements and providing effective solutions.
  • Coordinate export groupage and full-load shipments.
  • Liaise with transport providers to ensure collection and delivery requirements are met.
  • Monitor incoming communications and proactively identify potential issues.
  • Escalate operational concerns to relevant stakeholders where required.
  • Ensure company procedures and operational standards are maintained at all times.
  • Complete occasional late finishes when required to facilitate loading schedules and customs completion.
  • Assist with additional operational and administrative duties as required.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within freight forwarding, export operations, or groupage shipping.
  • Strong understanding of export procedures and customs requirements.
  • Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced logistics environment.
  • Strong computer and administrative skills.
  • Excellent planning and organisational abilities.
  • Proactive and solutions-focused approach.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
