The School of Engineering is seeking an experienced and organised Executive Officer to join their administrative team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional administrator who enjoys working in a busy, student-focused environment and can provide high-quality support to academic staff and students.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for undergraduate Civil Engineering students.
- Respond to student queries via email, telephone, and in person.
- Provide administrative support to academic and teaching staff.
- Assist with examinations, module administration, and programme administration activities.
- Coordinate schedules, meetings, and general office administration.
- Liaise with central university departments and other stakeholders as required.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure a high standard of data management.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous administration experience in a busy office environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage a high volume of enquiries professionally.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
