AP – Data Officer

Noel Group is currently seeking an experienced Data Officer on behalf of our client in Dublin 4. This is an excellent opportunity for a data protection professional with strong GDPR expertise to join a busy organisation and play a key role in supporting data governance, compliance, and risk management activities.

Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the successful candidate will provide expert guidance on data protection matters, support regulatory compliance, and contribute to the ongoing development of data protection frameworks and processes.

6 month Contract – potential extension

Key Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on data protection requirements, risks, and compliance obligations.
• Review projects and new initiatives to identify and mitigate data protection risks.
• Act as a delegate for the Data Protection Officer (DPO) when required.
• Advise on Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
• Support incident management and data breach response activities.
• Manage Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and other data subject rights requests.
• Maintain and update the Record of Processing Activities (ROPA).
• Manage the Data Protection mailbox and respond to internal and external queries.
• Support file management and administration activities.
• Assist with the development, implementation, and review of data protection policies and procedures.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a data protection or privacy-focused role.
• Relevant Data Protection qualification.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
• Proven ability to interpret legislation and provide practical, business-focused advice.
• Experience conducting or advising on DPIAs.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating information governance and data protection risks.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• A proactive, pragmatic, and solutions-focused approach.
