We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Catering Assistant to join our busy and friendly team in Galway. If you have experience in a deli environment, enjoy working with customers, and can make a great coffee, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and serving fresh food in line with food safety standards
- Assisting with deli counter operations, including food preparation and presentation
- Providing excellent front-of-house customer service
- Preparing teas, coffees, and specialty barista-style beverages
- Operating tills and handling customer transactions accurately
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the catering area
- Replenishing stock and ensuring displays are attractive and well-presented
- Supporting colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient service
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Previous experience in a catering, café, deli, or hospitality environment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, hardworking, and a positive team player
- Good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices
Desirable:
- Deli experience
- Front-of-house experience
- Barista training or coffee-making experience
- HACCP/Food Safety certification
