Grade 5 Data – Analytics & ICT Support Officer

Salary – €52,761

Fixed-Term Contract (2 Months) | Dublin

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Analytics & ICT Support Officer to provide short-term support on a range of data, reporting and technology initiatives. The successful candidate will assist in the collection, management and analysis of strategic data, support business applications, and contribute to the delivery of data-driven solutions that enhance reporting, performance monitoring and decision-making.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience across data management, business intelligence and software development technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test and maintain automated data pipelines from multiple data sources.
  • Perform data validation, cleansing, transformation and integration activities.
  • Develop and enhance reporting solutions, dashboards and data visualisations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies in reporting and analytics processes.
  • Support the monitoring, performance and optimisation of business applications and data solutions.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide user support where required.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and system procedures.
  • Contribute to data governance, quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Requirements

  • A third-level qualification in a relevant quantitative discipline such as Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or similar.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Data Analytics, Data Engineering, ICT or related role.
  • Experience delivering data management, reporting or software development projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server design, development and administration.
  • Experience developing and managing data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence and data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar.
  • Experience working with Microsoft technologies including SQL Server, .NET, C#, JavaScript and related tools.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience applying statistical analysis techniques to large and complex datasets.
  • Knowledge of software development and deployment practices.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, JavaScript or other relevant programming languages.
  • Experience with systems architecture, DevOps, Git and modern development practices.
