General Operative

Noel Group are hiring for our client in Ashbourne who are seeking motivated and reliable General Operatives to join their warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for order picking, packing, pallet wrapping, stock handling, and dispatch preparation while ensuring accuracy, productivity, and compliance with warehouse health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Order Picking & Packing

• Pick customer and store orders accurately using pick sheets, RF scanners, or voice-picking systems.
• Pack products securely to prevent damage during transportation.
• Verify order quantities and product codes before dispatch.
• Ensure all orders are completed within required timelines.

Warehouse Operations

• Wrap and secure pallets for transportation and storage.
• Move stock safely to designated dispatch and storage areas.
• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries as required.
• Organise and maintain stock locations within the warehouse.
• Support inventory checks and stock counts when necessary.

Quality & Compliance

• Conduct quality checks on products and report damaged or missing items.
• Adhere to all company policies and warehouse procedures.
• Maintain clean and tidy workstations at all times.
• Follow health and safety regulations and safe manual handling practices.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 6 months’ experience in a warehouse environment.
• Previous experience in order picking and packing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
• Good understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills and fluent English.
• Flexibility to work weekends as required.
• Valid driving licence.
• Manual Handling certification or willingness to undertake training.
