Digital Marketing Officer
Salary: €51,723
Location: Athlone (On-site/Office Based)
Contract: 35 hours per week | Fixed-Term Contract (1 Year)
About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and creative Digital Marketing Officer to manage and enhance the organisation’s online presence across a range of digital and social media platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital marketing strategies that increase engagement, strengthen brand awareness, and support the organisation’s overall objectives.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and innovative marketing professional who enjoys creating engaging content, analysing performance, and driving successful digital campaigns. Duties may vary in line with the evolving needs of the organisation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest.
- Create, curate, and schedule engaging content that aligns with the organisation’s brand, values, and strategic objectives.
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and online interactions in a timely and professional manner.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to support marketing, communications, and campaign objectives.
- Analyse social media and digital marketing performance, producing regular reports on reach, engagement, audience growth, and campaign effectiveness.
- Stay up to date with emerging digital marketing trends, social media developments, and best practices.
- Coordinate and manage paid social media campaigns, ensuring effective audience targeting and budget management.
- Support the delivery of digital projects, promotional campaigns, and organisational events.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role as assigned by management.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Proven experience managing social media accounts across multiple platforms on behalf of a business, organisation, or brand.
- Strong understanding of social media algorithms, analytics, and audience engagement strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a creative approach to content creation and storytelling.
- Experience using social media management platforms such as Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, or Buffer.
- Strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and digital content creation tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Desirable Skills and Experience
- Experience planning and managing paid social media advertising campaigns.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and website content management systems (CMS).
- Experience creating targeted digital content for diverse audiences and sectors.
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms and digital campaign reporting tools.
