The Noel Group are recruiting a Head Chef on behalf of a prestigious 4-star hotel in County Kildare. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to lead the culinary team of a well-established 4-star hotel renowned for its excellent guest experience, quality dining offering, and high service standards.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented chef to take ownership of a busy hotel kitchen, overseeing all food operations while driving innovation, maintaining exceptional standards, and leading a motivated brigade.

Responsibilities of a Head Chef:

  • Lead, motivate, and develop the kitchen team to deliver exceptional food quality and consistency.
  • Manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, banqueting, and events.
  • Design and develop seasonal menus that reflect current food trends and guest expectations.
  • Control food costs, labour costs, and kitchen budgets to achieve financial targets.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
  • Manage stock control, purchasing, and supplier relationships.
  • Maintain high standards of food presentation, quality, and consistency across all outlets.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and performance manage kitchen staff.
  • Work closely with senior management to enhance the hotel’s food offering and guest satisfaction.

Requirements of a Head Chef:

  • Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef within a hotel environment.
  • Strong background in high-volume food service, banqueting, and à la carte operations.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a kitchen team.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and kitchen best practices.
  • Strong financial awareness with experience managing food costs and kitchen budgets.
  • Creative, organised, and passionate about delivering outstanding culinary experiences.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak business periods as required.
