About the Role:
Noel Group is partnering with a leading four-star city-centre hotel to recruit an experienced Deputy General Manager.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the hotel through a team of experienced Heads of Department. The role requires a commercially focused and people-driven leader capable of delivering operational excellence, driving team performance, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences across all areas of the business.
The ideal candidate will bring strong hotel operations experience, proven leadership capability, and the ability to foster a positive, collaborative culture within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Support and deputise for the General Manager in the overall management of the hotel
- Lead, mentor, and support Heads of Department across all operational areas
- Drive a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Ensure exceptional guest service standards are consistently achieved
- Monitor and analyse departmental and hotel-wide financial performance
- Support the achievement of revenue, profitability, and cost-control objectives
- Lead talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Food Safety, and legislative requirements
- Maintain operational standards, policies, and procedures throughout the property
- Collaborate with senior management to identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and business growth
Key Requirements
Essential
- Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in a Deputy General Manager, Operations Manager, Hotel Manager, or equivalent senior leadership role
- Strong operational knowledge across all hotel departments
- Proven experience leading and developing management teams
- Commercially aware with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and analysing financial reports
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to perform effectively in a large, high-volume hospitality environment
Desirable
- Experience within a city-centre hotel, conference hotel, or events-led property
- Strong Food & Beverage operational background
- Third-level qualification in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related discipline
