Fire Prevention Officer

The Noel Group is proud to announce our appointment as a member of the HSE supplier panel, supporting healthcare facilities across Ireland. We are currently recruiting an experienced Fire Prevention Officer to join the HSE Capital & Estates team in Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity for a fire safety professional to work within the public healthcare sector, supporting the safety and compliance of healthcare facilities through fire prevention, risk management, inspections, and staff training.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct regular fire safety inspections of buildings, escape routes, and firefighting equipment.
* Develop and review fire safety procedures, evacuation plans, and fire prevention policies.
* Organise and oversee fire drills across healthcare facilities.
* Deliver fire safety training and guidance to staff.
* Monitor compliance with fire safety legislation, HSE policies, and building regulations.
* Investigate fire safety risks and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
* Maintain accurate records, reports, and safety documentation.
* Work closely with Estates Management, contractors, clinical teams, and external authorities.

Requirements:

* Level 7 qualification (or higher) in Fire Engineering, Health & Safety, Engineering, Architecture, Building Services, or related discipline.
* Minimum 2 years‘ experience in a comparable Fire Prevention or Fire Safety role.
* Strong knowledge of Fire Services Acts, Building Regulations, and healthcare fire safety standards.
* Experience conducting fire risk assessments and delivering fire safety training.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and report writing skills.
* Full driving licence and access to transport.

Salary & Benefits:

* HSE Salary Scale: €54,443 – €83,757 (depending on experience)
