Store Deputy Manager

Location: Dublin 12
Salary: €35,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days over 7 (between 8:00am and 7:00pm)

Our client is a well-established and growing retail business operating within the food sector. They are seeking an experienced and motivated Store Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day operation of a busy store environment.

The Role

As Store Deputy Manager, you will support the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of the store and take full responsibility in their absence. You will play a key role in leading and motivating the team, maintaining high standards, and ensuring an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day operation of the store
• Take full accountability for store operations in the absence of the Store Manager
• Act as the main point of contact for colleagues on operational and day-to-day matters
• Foster a positive and collaborative working environment
• Lead, coach, and develop team members to achieve business objectives
• Ensure excellent customer service standards are consistently delivered
• Monitor reports and store systems to identify opportunities for improvement
• Lead by example and act as a role model for the wider team
• Manage replenishment activities to maximise product availability and merchandising standards
• Maintain high standards of presentation, stock control, and shelf-edge compliance
• Support the achievement of sales and operational targets

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will have previous supervisory or management experience within a retail environment and demonstrate strong leadership and organisational skills.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar retail management or supervisory role
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Proven ability to motivate and develop teams
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong retail sales and commercial awareness
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Passion for food retail and delivering a high-quality customer experience
• Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends
