About the Role:

Noel Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Bar Manager on behalf of a prestigious hotel client in Galway. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong hospitality leader to oversee a high-volume bar operation including a busy lounge bar and function bar services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a large team, driving exceptional guest experiences, managing stock and forecasting, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across all bar outlets. This role suits a commercially minded manager with excellent organisational skills and a passion for service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operations of the hotel’s bar and lounge outlets, including function bar services
  • Manage, train, and motivate a team of 20+ bar staff to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Oversee staff scheduling, rostering, and labour cost management
  • Monitor stock levels, manage beverage ordering and forecasting, and control costs effectively
  • Ensure consistency and quality across beverage, cocktail, and food service offerings
  • Drive revenue through upselling initiatives, promotions, and innovative bar concepts
  • Maintain compliance with health & safety, HACCP, and licensing regulations
  • Handle guest feedback professionally and resolve issues efficiently
  • Collaborate with senior management to achieve departmental targets and KPIs

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Bar Manager or senior bar supervisor within a busy hotel or high-volume venue
  • Proven experience managing and leading large teams of 20+ staff
  • Strong background in stock control, ordering, and forecasting
  • Excellent knowledge of beverages, cocktails, wines, and bar operations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, labour costs, and beverage margins
  • Commercially aware with a guest-focused approach
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
