The Noel Group is currently recruiting for a Director of Sales & Marketing on behalf of an established four-star hotel located in Co. Kildare. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused sales professional to join a busy hotel operation with strong leisure, corporate, weddings, and events business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all revenue-generating activity across multiple market segments while supporting the venue’s ongoing commercial growth and market presence. They will lead the sales and marketing function, manage key client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and work closely with operational teams to achieve revenue targets.

Responsibilities of the Director of Sales & Marketing:

  • Develop and implement proactive sales strategies to maximise revenue across rooms, leisure, weddings, meetings, and events.
  • Manage and grow key corporate accounts, local business relationships, and agency partnerships.
  • Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, site visits, and networking activities to generate new business opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Meetings & Events team to convert enquiries and maximise event revenue.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities, new revenue streams, and potential business pipelines.
  • Coordinate digital marketing initiatives including website content, social media activity, email campaigns, and online promotions.
  • Liaise with external marketing partners and suppliers where required.
  • Monitor online reputation, guest feedback, and competitor activity to support market positioning.
  • Support forecasting, pricing strategies, and commercial planning alongside senior management.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and performance data to support decision-making.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, activity updates, and commercial performance reviews.
  • Ensure all sales activity aligns with agreed revenue targets and business objectives.

Requirements for a Director of Sales & Marketing:

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience within hotel sales or sales & marketing management.
  • Strong understanding of corporate, leisure, weddings, and events markets.
  • Proven ability to achieve revenue targets and develop new business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong awareness of digital marketing platforms and online campaigns.
  • Highly organised, commercially driven, and proactive in approach.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of the sales strategy.
