Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised professional to take on the role of National Lead for the Offer a Home initiative and the Community Integration Forum.

This is a key national coordination role supporting local authorities and stakeholders across Ireland in delivering effective integration supports and community response initiatives. The successful candidate will play a central role in strengthening collaboration, governance, reporting and operational consistency across both programmes.

About the Role

The National Lead will provide strategic coordination and operational support to local authorities while acting as a key liaison with Government Departments and national stakeholders. This role requires a proactive and collaborative individual with strong programme management, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead national coordination and support for the Offer a Home initiative and the Community Integration Forum.
  • Provide guidance, operational support and problem-solving assistance to local authorities nationwide.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with relevant Government Departments regarding operational matters, reporting requirements and programme development.
  • Support governance processes, funding submissions, reporting activities and data collection requirements.
  • Promote the sharing of best practice and continuous improvement across the sector.
  • Coordinate engagement with local authorities, statutory agencies, community and voluntary organisations, and national partners.
  • Support the management of escalations and emerging issues by identifying risks and recommending practical solutions.
  • Contribute to consultations, service reviews and ongoing programme development initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Significant experience in programme coordination, stakeholder engagement and cross-sector collaboration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reports, briefings and guidance documentation.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative, proactive and solution-focused approach.
  • Ideally, knowledge of local government structures, integration supports and community-based service delivery.

About the Programmes

Offer a Home is a government-led initiative managed by local authorities to secure vacant and unused properties as temporary accommodation for people displaced by the war in Ukraine.

The Community Integration Forum brings together local authorities, statutory agencies, and community and voluntary organisations to coordinate local supports, share information and assist new arrivals in settling successfully into communities across Ireland.
