The Noel Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Duty Manager on behalf of a well-established luxury hotel resort located in the scenic countryside of Co. Laois. We are seeking a motivated hospitality professional to join the existing management team and support the daily operations of the hotel.
The Duty Manager will support the smooth day-to-day running of the hotel and assist across operational departments as required. The successful candidate will ensure guests receive a professional, courteous and efficient service throughout their stay while maintaining high operational standards across the property.
Responsibilities of a Duty Manager:
- Maintain and uphold standard operating procedures throughout the property
- Work closely with Front Office and Reservations teams to ensure an excellent guest experience
- Report directly to the Deputy General Manager regarding operational matters
- Maintain a visible presence within the lobby and main guest areas throughout the day
- Assist guests with reservations and bookings, ensuring confirmations are communicated clearly
- Ensure all front-of-house and public areas are maintained to the required presentation standards
- Monitor adherence to security and key control procedures
- Remain informed of all daily hotel activities including conferences, weddings, VIP arrivals and events
- Provide guests with information about the hotel and local attractions
- Prepare weekly staff rosters and review daily staffing levels in line with business requirements
- Complete weekly revenue and payroll forecasting within required timelines
- Support the implementation and ongoing delivery of colleague training programmes
- Participate in scheduled training sessions and management meetings
- Assist other departments when operationally required
- Conduct performance reviews and regular job chats with team members
- Lead and motivate the team to encourage productivity and positive colleague engagement
Requirements of a Duty Manager:
- 1–2 years‘ hotel management experience or strong supervisory experience within hospitality
- Passion for delivering a high standard of guest service in a professional manner
- Strong background in food and beverage operations
- Excellent leadership, coaching and communication skills
