About the Role

The Noel Group is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and motivated Deputy General Manager to join a well-established, high-volume hospitality business. This venue offers a mix of bar service, food operations, and live entertainment, with a strong focus on delivering quality service and a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

This is a hands-on leadership role supporting the General Manager in overseeing daily operations. It would suit someone who is comfortable managing a busy bar service environment while also contributing to team development, operational performance, and maintaining high standards across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in the day-to-day management of the business
• Lead by example during service, ensuring a consistent and positive customer experience
• Supervise, support, and develop team members across bar, floor, and restaurant areas
• Maintain high standards of service, presentation, and customer interaction
• Oversee key operational functions including stock control, purchasing, and margins
• Ensure compliance with all relevant licensing regulations, HACCP, and health & safety requirements
• Support recruitment, staff onboarding, and ongoing training initiatives
• Step into the General Manager role when required

Candidate Requirements

• At least 5 years’ management experience within a busy pub, bar, or food-focused venue
• Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate large teams in a busy setting
• Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, practical approach
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of operational performance
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and late shifts
• A genuine interest in hospitality and delivering a high-quality guest experience
