Job Title: Pastry Chef

Noel Group is proud to partner with a prestigious 4-star coastal hotel to recruit an experienced Pastry Chef to join their culinary team.

This award-winning property is renowned for its high standards, strong focus on locally sourced ingredients, and commitment to delivering an exceptional dining experience in a luxury setting overlooking the Atlantic coastline.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the pastry section, creating high-quality desserts, breads, and baked goods while maintaining consistency, creativity, and excellence across all outlets including restaurant, banqueting, and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the pastry section on a day-to-day basis
  • Prepare and present high-quality desserts, pastries, breads, and baked goods
  • Develop innovative dessert menus in line with seasonal and locally sourced produce
  • Ensure consistency in presentation, taste, and quality across all service periods
  • Support banqueting and event production, including weddings and functions
  • Maintain strict food safety, HACCP, and hygiene standards
  • Monitor stock levels, minimise waste, and manage ordering within budget
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff within the pastry section
  • Work closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team to deliver exceptional guest experiences

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as a Pastry Chef or senior pastry role in a hotel or high-volume kitchen
  • Experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel environment preferred
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking, and dessert presentation
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • HACCP and food safety knowledge essential
  • A passion for seasonal, locally sourced ingredients
  • Team player with a positive and proactive attitude
