Electrical Project Engineer (Water Industry)
Location: Carlow – Office Based + On-Site Required
Salary: €55,000 – €65,000 DOE
Type: Full-Time | Permanent

The Opportunity
- Take ownership of end-to-end electrical project delivery, working closely with the Project Manager to drive timelines, budgets, and quality across multiple live projects
- Operate across both office and site environments, gaining full exposure to the project lifecycle and stakeholder management
- Play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification within a regulated infrastructure environment
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate project schedules, subcontractors, and resources to ensure delivery aligns with programme milestones
- Prepare and manage technical documentation, including method statements, risk assessments, and client submissions
- Lead site supervision and coordination, acting as the link between engineers, trades, and client representatives
- Monitor project costs, variations, and reporting, maintaining strong commercial control
- Oversee quality, safety, and compliance documentation, ensuring adherence to HSA standards
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Electrical Engineering within a project-based environment
- Strong background in site coordination, contractor management, and project delivery
- Experience with AutoCAD and technical/construction documentation
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders and drive outcomes
- Experience within water/wastewater or industrial projects is advantageous but not essential
