Role Overview

We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver (Rigid) to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in Dublin. This role involves the safe and efficient transportation of goods to designated delivery locations, with an average of 3-4 drops per day. Once all scheduled drops are completed, the working day is finished.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a rigid truck, ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining accurate documentation, and upholding the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a rigid truck in compliance with all road traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
• Transport goods efficiently to assigned delivery locations within scheduled timeframes
• Complete 3-4 delivery drops per day
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any defects or issues
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and minor repairs when required
• Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring goods are secured and handled correctly
• Maintain accurate and complete delivery documentation and records
• Communicate effectively with the logistics and dispatch team regarding routes, schedules, and any delays
• Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers
• Ensure adherence to delivery schedules and company service standards

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) (Category C Licence)
• Clean driving record
• Proven experience operating and maintaining commercial trucks (rigid vehicle experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations and traffic laws
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage daily delivery schedules
• Strong attention to detail, particularly with delivery paperwork and inspections
• Good communication skills for liaising with dispatchers, logistics teams, and customers
• Ability to carry out basic vehicle repairs and maintenance
