Job Title: Assistant Restaurant / Dining Room Manager

Reports To: Restaurant Manager / Food & Beverage Manager
About the Role:
We are currently recruiting an experienced Assistant Restaurant / Dining Room Manager on behalf of a prestigious hospitality venue in Co. Sligo. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional with strong leadership and supervisory experience who is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences in a high-end dining environment. The successful candidate will support the management team in the day-to-day operation of the restaurant while helping to develop, motivate, and lead a professional service team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the dining room, ensuring consistently high service standards
- Lead, supervise, and motivate the restaurant team during service, maintaining a strong and visible presence on the floor
- Deliver a warm, professional, and memorable guest experience in line with luxury hospitality standards
- Train, coach, and mentor team members to promote confidence, consistency, and service excellence
- Assist with the onboarding of new staff and support ongoing training initiatives
- Support staff scheduling, rota planning, and ensuring adequate staffing levels
- Handle guest feedback and resolve issues in a professional and efficient manner
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety, food safety, and service procedures
- Work closely with kitchen and wider food & beverage teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Contribute ideas to enhance the dining experience, service flow, and overall guest satisfaction
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a fine-dining or high-end hospitality environment
- Previous supervisory or assistant management experience is essential
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on and positive approach
- High attention to detail and a genuine passion for hospitality
- Strong interest in training, mentoring, and developing team members
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
