Salary: €40,000 – €50,000 per annum

Role Overview: Noel Recruitment Group is partnered with a leading food ingredient client who is seeking a Purchasing & Stock Control Specialist to join their team. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day purchasing and stock control activities, maintain compliance with internal policies and procurement regulations, and work closely with suppliers and internal teams to support cost and efficiency goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate all purchase orders timely and accurately; track shipments and resolve non-conformances.
- Collaborate with Sales & Operations to proactively avoid stock-outs.
- Analyse supply and demand to forecast inventory needs and minimise stock shortages or excesses.
- Maintain inventory levels in line with agreed targets.
- Ensure all purchasing & stock control SOPs are strictly adhered to.
- Liaise with warehouse management to conduct stock-taking activities efficiently.
- Identify and resolve supply chain issues including shortages, overstock, and invoice discrepancies.
- Generate regular reports and provide insights to improve stock control and purchasing activity.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within Operations and Supply Chain teams
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in procurement, stock control, or supply chain.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in ERP and inventory management software; advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Skills:
- Strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management
- Process improvement and reporting experience
- Experience in food production or FMCG supply chains
