Industrial Maintenance Electrician

About the Opportunity

Noel Group is proud to represent a highly respected food-ingredients facility in Ballaghaderreen, Roscommon, now hiring an experienced Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join its growing engineering team.

This is a long term, permanent role offering strong stability, modern equipment, and a supportive maintenance environment. You will work closely with the Maintenance Manager and engineering team to keep production running safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance
* Diagnose, repair and maintain industrial equipment and production machinery
* Perform facility-wide electrical maintenance and fault finding
* Complete preventative and scheduled maintenance across production lines
* Install, test, commission and upgrade equipment when required

Problem Solving & Troubleshooting
* Respond to production breakdowns and identify root causes
* Work with process, operations and maintenance teams to minimise downtime

Safety, Compliance & Documentation
* Ensure all work complies with electrical regulations and safety standards
* Carry out periodic electrical testing
* Complete accurate maintenance records, logs and documentation

Continuous Improvement
* Participate in reliability projects and improvement initiatives
* Support production targets by improving equipment performance

What We’re Looking For

* Fully qualified Electrician or Electrical / Electronic / Instrumentation / Control trade
* Minimum 5 years industrial experience in a maintenance environment
* Strong understanding of PLC fault-finding and troubleshooting
* Experience working with industrial voltages, electro-pneumatics and process systems
* Ability to read and interpret electrical and control schematics
* Hands-on, proactive, and able to work independently
* Strong communication skills and attention to detail
* Experience with instrumentation, sensors, and process control equipment is an advantage
