Role Overview
Noel Group are currently partnered with a leading gaming and casino company who are looking for a skilled and passionate Field Service Technician to be the hands-on problem-solver for our casino’s gaming and IT systems. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and critical repair of the hardware and software that powers our operations. What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
·Install, configure, and maintain gaming machines, computer systems, and AV equipment.
·Diagnose and resolve a wide range of technical issues, including hardware faults (PCBs, wiring, power supplies) and software problems (OS, applications).
·Perform component-level electronics repair, including soldering on circuit boards.
·Provide clear and friendly technical support and guidance to non-technical staff.
·Manage your workload effectively to minimise system downtime across multiple sites.
·Travel to our Cork casino (approx. 2 days per week) to provide on-site support.
·Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance, repairs, and incidents.
·Manage stock levels for spare parts and essential components.
·Uphold the highest standards of health and safety while working with electrical systems.
What You’ll Bring (Essential Skills & Experience)
·Proven experience in a hands-on technical repair role (e.g., PC/laptop repair, electronics technician, field service engineer).
·Strong diagnostic skills in both hardware and software.
·Proficiency in soldering and carrying out component-level repairs on PCBs.
·Full comfort and experience working safely with mains voltage (230V)
systems.
·Excellent knowledge of Windows operating systems.
·A valid driving licence and access to your own transport.
·A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a genuine passion for technology.
Nice-to-Have (Desirable Skills)
·Familiarity with Linux-based operating systems (e.g., Debian, Ubuntu).
·Understanding of networking concepts, including IP addressing, subnets, and VLANs.
·Experience with single-board computers like Raspberry Pi or Arduino.
·Experience installing or maintaining audiovisual (AV) equipment like amplifiers and projectors.
·Basic knowledge of database or programming languages.
