This is a part-time opportunity for a kitchen assistant, on a temporary basis through our agency, in Wexford and surrounding areas. Occational or ongoing work can be available mostly part-time but can get full-time availability also. Hours are generally available during morning times between Monday to Friday. This might suit someone who is occupied during the evenings and is looking for flexible work.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation and presentation, and set-up of the venue
• Provide excellent customer service and create memorable experiences for the guests
• Wash and clean dishes, utensils and cleaning kitchen equipment using professional equipment
• Ensure the kitchen and service areas are maintained clean and organised at all times
• Monitor and maintain stock levels with a proactive approach
• Practice high standards of hygiene and food safety
• Work as part of a team and communicate effectively and efficiently with your colleagues and managers for the smooth running of the operations

Your profile

• Must be living in IRELAND, within a commutable distance from Waterford area and hold a valid work permit.
• Previous experience in kitchen/catering environment is essential.
• Good communication and teamwork skills and ability to follow instructions
• Excellent customer service skills
• Food Safety and HACCP
• Passion for food service with a positive and can-do attitude
• Attention to detail
• Ability to adapt in fast paced environments and multitask
