Sous Chef – Limerick City (Busy Bar & Restaurant)
Salary: Up to €43,000 per annum
Location: Limerick City
The Noel Group is proud to partner with a prestigious client in the hospitality industry to recruit an experienced and passionate Sous Chef for a busy bar and restaurant in Limerick City.
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented chef who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment and has a genuine passion for food, creativity, and teamwork. The Sous Chef will play a key role in supporting the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations, maintaining high culinary standards, and leading a skilled team to deliver consistently excellent dishes.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- 
Support the Head Chef in the overall management of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and service delivery.
 - 
Supervise and motivate the kitchen team to ensure efficiency, consistency, and high-quality output.
 - 
Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standards while maintaining portion and waste control.
 - 
Oversee food safety, hygiene, and HACCP compliance across all kitchen operations.
 - 
Assist with stock management, ordering, and supplier relations to ensure cost-effective kitchen operations.
 - 
Contribute to menu development and daily specials, bringing creativity and innovation to the food offering.
 - 
Step in and manage the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence, ensuring seamless service.
 
Requirements
- 
Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a busy, high-volume restaurant or bar.
 - 
Strong culinary skills with a passion for quality food and seasonal ingredients.
 - 
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
 - 
A proactive and hands-on approach with the ability to work under pressure.
 - 
In-depth knowledge of food safety and HACCP standards.
 - 
Must be living in Ireland and have the right to work in the Republic of Ireland.
 - 
Visa and relocation packages are not provided.
