The Role: General Operative (with Forklift Driving)

Typical duties might include:

• Operating forklifts / lift trucks safely to move, load, unload materials and site equipment.
• Yard work: loading/unloading deliveries, keeping stock organised, checking items/components in/out.
• Picking components / equipment (scaffolding, fencing, etc.), verifying quantities & ensuring items are ready for dispatch or hire.
• General operative tasks: housekeeping of the yard (keeping area tidy, safe), assisting others on site with lifting or moving, manual handling tasks.
• Possibly maintenance / inspection of equipment or assisting with checks for damage.

What might distinguish a stronger candidate:.

• Reliable track record around safety & adherence to rules.
• Ability to work as part of a team and also take direction.
• Flexibility (possibly assisting in different tasks, or shifting between yard / loading / driving).

• Gen Op/Forklift driver with 1-2 years counterbalance – internal ticket is fine
• 8am-5am Monday to Friday (some Saturdays)
• Need own transport as it is hard to get to the site
• Full time hours – long term contract
