Position: Qualified Butcher
Location: Balbriggan, Co. Dublin
Industry: Retail (Supermarket Fresh Food Department)
Salary: €36,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 45 hours per week, 5 days over 7 (including weekends and public holidays)

Overview
A large, modern supermarket in Balbriggan is seeking an experienced Qualified Butcher to join their busy butchery department. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with strong fresh food knowledge and proven customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day operations of the butchery department.

• Serve customers at the counter, ensuring a professional and friendly experience.

• Prepare, cut, and display meat products to the highest standards.

• Maintain attractive counter merchandising and displays.

• Comply with all HACCP and food safety procedures.

• Work collaboratively as part of a busy team while also using initiative.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a butcher in a busy retail or commercial environment.

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

• Strong knowledge of fresh meat and butchery products.

• HACCP trained.

• Excellent customer care skills and strong interpersonal abilities.

• Strong communication skills.

• Flexible to work early starts, late finishes, weekends, and public holidays.
